We are a group of 16 Integrated Children and Youth Services Centres (ICYSCs)

who have begun a journey of change since 2017, in search of new ways to engage with youth. In doing so, we hope to empower youth social workers to be changemakers themselves, to walk together and create new relationships with our youth and facilitate them to be changemakers in the community.

We are thankful for the funding support by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust; and to have AFTEC, Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, MakerBay Foundation and Salon Media Lab as Technical Partners: The Chinese University of Hong Kong as Research Partner and Good Lab as Capacity Building Partner.

We believe:

Enhancement of skills with the new equipment, coupled with a co-learning and empowering approach through design thinking, will enable youth social workers to co design innovative youth-adult partnerships and enable our youth to embark on multiple pathways and enhance their social connectedness.

We hope to instil in the social welfare sector new energy in change and innovation, have confidence in young people and embrace youth as changemakers.

Project Values

Empowerment – we all learn best via self-directed learning and actions!
Innovation – we need the courage to try and test, knowing some experiments might fail.
Trust – much needed between youth, ICYSCs and stakeholders in the community.
Co-creation – new ideas can only come from empathy, engagement and learning together.
